The Castellows Concert

THE CASTELLOWS

Country’s Next Sister Sensation is coming Loblolly Acres this summer!

Rooted in the red clay of Georgetown, Georgia, The Castellows—sisters Ellie, Lily, and Powell Balkcom—are redefining neo-traditional country with luminous blood harmonies and front-porch storytelling. Raised on gospel, bluegrass, and small-town Southern life, they began sharing stripped-down covers and originals online in 2022, quickly drawing a devoted following and industry attention.

In 2023, they signed with Warner Music Nashville and Warner Records, launching the next chapter of their career. Their debut EP, A Little Goes a Long Way (2024), produced by Grammy-winner Trina Shoemaker, showcased six self-penned tracks rooted in faith, family, and Southern heritage.

Throughout 2024, the trio sold out nearly half of their first headlining tour, released multiple singles—including “Sober Sundays” with Wyatt Flores—and shared stages with Little Big Town and Sugarland, winning over audiences nationwide.

Heading into 2025, they’re building momentum with new music, international festival appearances, and tour dates alongside Thomas Rhett—while continuing to headline their own shows. With a sound that’s equal parts timeless and current, The Castellows deliver harmony-driven country that feels like home.

Farm Walk for the Arts | DoMore24 Fundraiser

Farm Walk for the Arts

See firsthand how we are making a difference in our community by joining us for a walk on the farm. On Delaware’s Biggest Day of Giving, we are opening our doors to welcome donors to stroll our wooded trails, explore our venue, and learn how our nonprofit organization is making an impact on Central Delaware’s cultural scene.

MARCH 6th 9A-6P

Do More 24 Delaware is the state’s largest day of charitable giving, bringing together hundreds of nonprofits across Delaware to raise funding for their missions during a 24-hour period. With the support of dozens of sponsors, thousands of dollars in matching gifts, incentives, and cash prizes are available—meaning every donation can go even further.

When you donate to The Art Society at Loblolly Acres (or any participating nonprofit) during Do More 24, your gift helps us qualify for these matches and prizes. All donations must be made through domore24delaware.org

Pay-what-you-wish donation to walk the farm on March 6th from 9A-6P if you can't join us you can still donate online!  Pets are allowed and must be cleaned up after.

Our 2025 season marked a major milestone for Loblolly Acres, highlighted by our first sold-out large-scale concert featuring country music legend Tracy Byrd. This event realized our vision of bringing nationally touring artists to the farm in an intimate, nature-filled setting. Demand was immediate—half of the tickets sold within the first 15 minutes—and the concert introduced us to a wave of new, returning patrons.

We expanded our season with new holiday and seasonal events that were met with great enthusiasm. Highlights included a romantic Valentine’s Day Concert by Candlelight featuring First State Ballet, OperaDelaware, and the Tim Laushey Orchestra; a Mother’s Day Afternoon Tea honoring women with live piano by David Shockley; and a Christmas Concert in the style of Sinatra featuring Bruce Klauber of Philadelphia, currently touring for his new book with firsthand accounts of Frank Sinatra. We also planned an All-American Family Picnic for Flag Day with the 35-piece Chesapeake Brass Band and an apple pie contest, which was unfortunately canceled due to weather.

Our summer season thrived with the launch of our first annual Summer Solstice Circus, kicking off the season with aerial and roaming circus performers, interactive games, and a live concert by Mike Hines and the Look. We continued to bring immersive, live experiences to the farm with performances by mentalist Dan Gaffney, Farm-to-Table Dinners featuring local chefs and live music, and a robust Summer Concert Series. Artists included Love Seed Mama Jump, Decade80, American Idol finalist Alex Miller, and our Second Annual Ballet Brews, and BBQ & Blues with First State Ballet Theatre.

Our most popular offering, Pumpkin Patch Sundays, returned every Sunday in October, featuring two live bands, more than ten local artisans, food trucks, small businesses, pumpkin picking, hayrides, and opportunities to enjoy nature on the farm.

Throughout the season, we hosted more than 100 performing artists from around the world, partnered with over 60 local artisans, vendors, and chefs, and celebrated more than 50 events and weddings. Each year, we aim to grow—creating more experiences, expanding opportunities for local creatives, and continuing to enrich Central Delaware through arts, nature, and community.

At Loblolly Acres, we create unique experiences that support our community, highlight its talent, bring in national talents, and welcome others to be part of it.The farm is more than a venue—it’s a destination where people can gather, create, enjoy nature, and step away from the everyday for a while.

Looking ahead
, we’re excited to build on the momentum of 2025. Our goal is to bring back all of our  events—refined, expanded, and elevated—while also welcoming two nationally touring artists and a Christian music group to Central Delaware, more artists and vendors. These experiences don’t just entertain; they bring people together, support local culture, and put our region on the map in a meaningful way.

This vision is only possible with the support of locals who believe in investing where they live. By sponsoring or donating to The Art Society at Loblolly Acres, you become a partner in strengthening our community. In return, we offer meaningful advertising opportunities and sales incentives that connect your business with a growing, engaged audience, while demonstrating your commitment to the cultural and economic vitality of Central Delaware as well as aligning it with something positive, creative, and lasting.

All proceeds from our events benefit The Art Society at Loblolly Acres helping us continue our journey of cultivating and celebrating art, nature, and community in Delaware. Achieving this vision would not be possible without the unwavering support of our community.

FEATURING

Artist Statement for Bryant T. Bell

My artwork takes a critical view of social, political and cultural issues regarding inclusion and representation in our society. I enjoy stories that celebrate diverse and remarkable people. My work examines the realities of the American dream for different cultures.  I engage diverse subjects that may include Caribbean, African American, Muslim, American Indian, Caucasian, HBCU’s, the Homeless and Veterans.  My work shares a look at some Americans that make up the very fabric of our society. They are often unseen and overlooked in their daily struggle for equal rights, opportunity and their piece of a dream that we call freedom in America. Some broke the rules and changed the world. They continue to teach us to remember our history and honor our past.
Painting is a great stress reliever for me. I paint what I know and what I like. Sometimes I create something unique. Many of my paintings are cultural and their facial features often express the stress and experiences of their every day lives.  I tend to paint facial features more realistically, while their attire may sometimes seem more abstract.  Many of the objects found in my paintings (crosses, fans, cigars, headdress, etc.) assist in establishing the diverse attire and traditions often seen across cultures.
The subject matter of each body of my work determines the form and materials of the work.  Each of my projects consist of multiple ideas, using a range of different media, grouped around specific themes and meanings.  It requires me to research history, other artist, color choices, concepts, materials and approaches to produce new works of art. I thank you for the opportunity to contribute and share!

Jimmy Thompson City Painting “I’ve always liked to snap pictures. I’ve been doing that for over 20 years. Then I take the photo and put it on canvas. I love painting old photos because people get nostalgic. Many of my paintings are of ghost structures, businesses, and buildings that don’t exist now, or are renovated…”

Sheila Exum’s love for art has always been a driving force behind her making creative custom art commission, among many others. She challenges herself to experiment with new techniques and create timeless art pieces. Sheila paints from her work studio in Magnolia, DE and her art is available to collectors globally
